GIF File Size Reduce Software is a very handy and small application developed by Sobolsoft whose purpose is to allow you reduce the size of your image files in Graphics Interchange Format (GIF), so that they become much lighter and, therefore, easier to manipulate. The program supports batch conversion and also allows you to add in a single step all the GIF files contained in a folder.
The program's main window is really simple and easy to use. There you can add the source GIF files to be downsized either on an individual basis or by folder – as mentioned before – using the "Add GIF File(s)" or the "Add All File(s) in Folder" button, respectively. Curiously enough, when choosing the latter, you are asked to type the file extension of the files to select, even though GIF is the only format supported. All the files selected will be shown on a list, from where you can start the conversion process by pressing the "Start Reducing" button.
On the image downsizing process a new window opens, and there you can make a visual comparison of what each file looks like before and after the conversion, check the initial and the reduced file sizes, and select the destination folder where the reduced files will be saved. The reduction process takes no time, but you need to have the registered version of the program to be able to save the reduced files on your disk.
